Hello. You've probably already awnsered such a question, but I can't seem to find a topic that relates to this - if you do know where, please point me in the right direction and gimme a link (-:
My question is quite simply: How do you believe resto druids are doing in Ulduar hardmodes. Good/bad - What's their role?
Thanks in advance,
primak

Method should think about putting in some rules about asking very stupid questions. "What is their role?" Did you seriously just ask what a resto druids role is in hard mode Ulduar? You couldn't find an answer because there is no one else retarded enough to ask such a stupid question.
P.S. its to fucking heal. I wasn't aware they were made to do anything else.

He was obviously referring to role inside the healing squad, i.e. if they're raid healing or MT healing or whatnot and how they're doing compared to other classes on the level Method's raiding. There's really no reason to cuss him out when he's asking a totally relevant question.

With WotLK the Resto Druid got a lot of possibilities. There are many unique ways to heal your targets by choosing a fitting spec and specific glyphs. I don't want to go into detail referring that, you might have a look at elitistjerks.com, mb register there to post some comments.
Ulduar hardmodes are great for Restos unless you are assigned to heal the MT :). Spamming RJ and using WG on cooldown is the best way to heal against raid damage. Nevertheless, sometimes you have to up certain ppl fast by using either Nourish/glyphed HT or Swiftmend/Nature's Swiftness.

You fail to see the point of my question.

I thought exactly the same. About druid being so unique in many ways, due to the various choice of healing abilities specs and glyphs. However I'm still curious about their "role" as a healer. Sure they are great AE healers for prehealing, but you wont be able to keep up fast healing with a priest. No wonder guilds are massive stacking up holy priests like we once did with shamans in Sunwell.
The only role I'd see would be perfect for the resto druid is to MT heal. To push out *about* the same hps as a holy paladin with a lot of prehealing and less overhealing + you don't have the same downside as a paladin if you need to move. My thoughts at least.
Please do come with constructive opinions instead of this primak bullshit. I'd appreciaite it (-:

Ofc priests are the better grp healers, but they will be happy if "their" targets have a hot already. Btw, it's not always prehotting, WG should be used as soon as raid damage comes in and RJ provides an extra instant heal with 4set bonus.
Mostly, it is the combination (MT: Paladin/Druid, Priest/Druid - Raid: Priest/Druid, Shaman/Druid) that counts. MT healing is rather easy (you will overheal more than usual in fights with e.g. Algalon), but for raid healing you need to stack some haste (1sec. gcd) and be experienced to what healing spell is the best in any situation.
When it comes to raid healing while moving a lot, guess who's not complaining ;)
