Hey Method,

My guild have just unlocked algalon so the encounter is pretty new to me and my guild.
I like to know what is your healing setup for algalon 10 man and which healers is best suited for this encounter.
We try running with disc priest, me as holy pala and resto shaman. Since im holy pala, i like to ask Protec how beacon is best suited in
this encounter and what is your role mostly, as i seen some videos and they put shaman to solely heal tank, so i like to know an ideal
role for a pala with beacon. Also when is a good moment to divine plea and use cooldowns on the tank?

your answers would be greatly appeciated

thank you

Some setups:

(1) Easy
DiscPr
Paladin
Shaman

1. DiscPr+Shaman Tank, Beacon Tank Pala Raid
2. DiscPr+Pala Tank, Beacon yourself, Shaman Raid

Id go for the first, its the best and easiest setup for a first kill in my opinion.

(2) Easy
DiscPr
Paladin
Druid

1. DiscPr+Paladin Tank, Beacon yourself, Druid Raid
2. DiscPr+Beacon Tank, Pala+Druid Raid

Both options are rly easy to play but the first means youll have all hots on the tank and the full Pala healing -> 3 Healers again.

(3) Normal
Shaman
Paladin
Druid

1. Shaman+Paladin Tank,Beacon yourself, Druid Raid
2. Shaman+Beacon Tank, Pala+Druid Raid

This setup sux. The best combo you can get is DiscPr+Pala on a tank but nevertheless shaman can assist on stars explosion on meele camp to enable the Druid keeping all his hots on the Tank the 2nd strat is rly easy to perform but nowhere near as safe as the other setups.

(4) Hard
Paladin
DiscPr

1. DiscPr+Beacon Tank, Paladin Raid

This is setup doesnt allow for any fuckups of any healer. Sharp dodging of cosmics to not loose any important HPS time, rly spammy, i suggest to have xtreme good gear for both healers. We did it a few times with this setup its possible but i do not suggest it for starters on Algalon.

Paladins job

Its very simple. Use DP on each BB try to meele hit the adds in the other dimension by aggroing em and regen some mana with your seal of wisdom. You can also try to stay in meele range to Algalon so that you can get some meele swings on your judges for some extra mana gain (But you also raise the chance of meele getting cosmic -> moving -> maybe dps loss -> more risk). If you have rly bad gear ask for an innervate of the Feral/Resto Druid @ bigbang. Most of the time i use my first dsac right after the first BB so that the tank wont die on the switch later on only sacrafice on the tank with bop on yourself in between AW. Keep SS up (T8 Boni preferred for this Boss). If you are going to try the Beacon Tank heal Raid strat with the paladin remember always that its casttime + beacontime for the heal to hit the tank, e.g. 1.48 cast + 1.5 Beacon = 2.98 HL cast. So either spamm fulltime on the raid (like Star Explosion) or switch to the tank in between. On every switch to the raid back again youll have a 3sec HL cast on the Tank be aware of that. You should also keep in mind that the Paladin Raid Beacon Tank requires alot of Beacon casts so make sure youve got the gear for that. You can use aura mastery as you see it fit.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention something. Ive read many theoriecrafting etc but in all those calculations the people always missed one important thing. When you play with a Druid ask him to always keep Revitalize up on you (through Reju or WG) in mana intensive fights. Even when there is no danger. Its 1 GCD for him but if you have like me a manapool of over 40k buffed you get 400+ Revitalize ticks thats alot of mana over a whole fight. (Priests also provide this buff but only when their shield is absorbed).
