Got a question about haste and mastery ..

Seeing alot of ppl dumping haste and going max mastery and the other way around.

How is your pov in the stats for firelands raid? Now the aimed shot focus dump aint that good anymore coz of the movements in most of the fights.

And is there anything you could recommend me to improve on my hunter atm?

Atm im doing about 30k dps on fights like Baleroc, Majordomo and Shannox, i feel like i should do more, but its only if i get lucky with procs and stuff, so being steady at 29-31 k dps all time.

For starters you should remove the 20hit20agi gem from your belt since the socket bonus ain't worth it and you're over hitcapped. (you're @ 992, cap is 961).

On the glyphs, unless you're progressing on a fight that really requires you to push out your maximum dps during the execute phase, i'd say to replace the kill shot glyph with a rapid fire one. It will provide you with a more steady dps increase through out all encounter.

About the haste vs mastery topic, having a too low amount of one or the other is definitely not good. So as it looks right now you have 607 mastery vs 1766 haste, which im pretty sure it is costing you some dps because of the low amount of mastery.
Gear from Firelands by itself provides alot of haste and 90% of the boss encounters require alot of movement meaning that going all out on haste won't help you maximize your dmg since when you're moving you're not taking benefit from all that haste while wild quiver can still proc even when you're moving and it's a damn powerful "spell" if you get some insane procs even when on a fight where there's no movement required.

If you're looking for some baseline values for haste you should read http://elitistjerks.com/f74/t112408-cataclysm_4_2_marksmanship_guide/ , but main number would be 1235 haste + 3/3 pathing. Having more then that while sacrificing other stats like crit or mastery will most likely result in a dps loss.

To try and perfect your gear in terms of reforging/enchants etc to hit the caps i'd recommend using http://wowreforge.com , and for dps calculations http://femaledwarf.com/.

Thx alot for you're answer mate.. And yeah we are on lord rhyolith hc atm, so pretty intense last phase.. Else im using rapid fire..
I switch my glyphs for fights, deping on whats required and what role i get tbh..
And have read ej's mm guide, but find it abit confussing..
But anyways thx for you're answer mate.. And about the belt, i just didnt have the time to check it out last time as i got some gears in the raid and went for the enchants and stuff in the raid break.

Nevermind about the solo-thing, I actually tried it myself, after about 10 fails I managed to kill 1 small scorpion!

What I ended up with:
200G Repair bill
1G 70S loot from the Scorpion
1x Grey Leather Gloves Worth 90S
Total: -197G 40S

Well I managed :S 1 mob atleast :D I could've easily done more if I didn't have to go :( Now that I learned how to do it.

It's fairly easy to solo trash as hunter in Firelands, all you need is MM specc with Concussive barrage and you're ready to go and spam that multi-shot and just kite around untill the pack is dead!

I have some questions too about hunters..... atm i'm sitting at 2008 haste for sure is bad, but we are raiding 10 man without 10% melee haste buff.. so.. Mastery after haste cap is still better than haste?

Female dwarf tells me to stack huge amounts of haste, is it right?

I'd suggest speccing survival, still stack mastery but have the raid do more damage!
