I have a another question that im kinda wondering on. Should i reforge haste to crit if there is no crit on the item or should i leave it?

    Default Amazing Guilde....

2 questions and I thank you in advance for your time...

    1. I have looked at your UI and was wondering what you bind to you mouse or what key bindings you typically use? You DoTs are not together so you do not simply roll through them as the saying goes.

    2. You recommend crit gemming...do you simply allow the reforging to get you to the haste breakpoint or do you find that it is not as important. I mean do you reforge to haste or crit when mastery is the stat and you are not at the breakpoint?

Thanks a great deal for your help.

    Hey,

@ naxdam - Right now overall i think boomkins are doing better then feral's, there dps is about even with boomkins pulling miles ahead in multi target situations and they bring a little more utility then feral, aswell as the fact that ranged are stronger then melee for the most part this tier.

@ Blamefulmoyna - You should reforge haste to crit unless that haste is keeping you over the breakpoint of 5273 haste.

@ Sheldore - the only binds i really use on my mouse are arena macros (focus 1,2,3 etc...) and boomkin, cat, bear form etc. Yeah my dot binds arent together, i have moonfire on 4, sunfire on 1, it all comes down to personal preference and what you get used to.
As for gemming, i can afford to reach the breakpoint without gemming haste, but if your not quite there and the breakpoint is within reach, then it is worth swapping some crit gems for haste gems.

so i see most of the top moonkins are gemming like you.
that says they have nearly same stat values computed. and probably you all are right, and im doing something wrong ;)

But how do you get these values? when i run a simcraft with your char right now, it shows me int at 1 and crit at 0,47 what i am doing wrong ?
or is the standard simcraft computing wrong now? or do you use an other program? do you use wrath calcs?

    Hey,

At the moment I've been doing a lot of sims and it's changed a lot from the beta, currently I think were we are all Going haste breakpoint then crit, but I'm going to try out going full haste, I'm currently getting crit around 0.47 and haste just over 0.5, this haste value also seems to go up with higher gear levels.
I'll do some testing with that and let you know

Anyone having trouble doing reforges, Using reforge lite and these settings should fix everything for you.

Hello Zamey, I'm pretty new to Moonkins so I had a look around at different guides, and all of them seem to have very similar openers to the one you have in here, so I'm just wondering why everyone seems to be doing that, as opposed to doing what I'm doing, which is the following:

Moonfire, Sunfire + bomb, Starfall (mushroom detoante during GCD), Starsurge (Lunar procs)
    Incarnation + Nature's Vigil
2x Starfire, reapply dots + Starfall
    Celestial Alignment at 0
Berserk + Synapse Springs after 5 seconds (or earlier if both my trinkets proc)
Starfall and reapply dots before they run out, and reapply them again before Celestial Alignment runs out.

And then you go from there with Eclipse rotations.

Damage cooldown timings aside, is there any reason why you're not using Moonfire and Sunfire before Starfall on the pull? And it feels like it would be a dps increase to use Starsurge over Wrath because there is a good chance of proccing Shooting Stars.

    Thoughts?

    Hey,

There are a few issues with the opener you posted above, being :

Applying dots before eclipse + cooldowns means your losing out on the haste benefit from NG aswell as the damage benefit from your cds.
Starsurging before is a waste as you want it to be your first cast in eclipse after CD's due to the fact its your biggest hitting spell ( you will precast wrath on the boss anyway ) + its unlikely to get a SS proc in the first second your dots are up :)
By casting celestial alignment to get to solar your losing out on 4 seconds off Inc + NV

Right on the pull you should be casting

    Starfall
    Pre pot
    Wrath
    Inc + NV
    moonfire + sunfire
    Starsurge

your wrath is already about to hit the boss before the pull which is a dps gain aswell
this way your dots benefit from NG + cooldowns
    Your starsurge benefits from cooldowns

Aren't you suppose to pop potion before starfall?

I do my pot after for it to last longer during cds, whichever way you do it thought shouldn't really matter.
