Strange as it seems, I ran simulation at may be wrong. I could have done something wrong.

That's why I'm asking, because it says 4717 haste rating wins over 4198. And my mastery it's like 4400, which means less 300 then haste.

However I did more burst damage on Gara'jal HC with 8% haste rating, then with 11%.

I just hope they remove reforge once for all. Being all the time /facekeyboard with stats isn't not even funny anymore!

And when you have an warlock in your guild that don't care with reforge and have 4400 haste and 11% hit rating, pawning the meters all the time its O.o... In almost all fights he it's top 1.

Other classes are like us with this reforge problems?

Ya, just remember reforge is "only" +/- up to 500~~~~~~ DPS you can work with, so it's a bit annoying for rather small gain of total DPS. But 4717 should be better because of the CORR tick.

Im personally getting the best result at 4717 haste > mastery > haste > crit

Hey Caewen, yea i'd be happy to help


Try to go for 4250 haste or 4717 haste and then mastery when you reforge. You can cut a bit off hit cap if you go for these values. This should increase your DPS by quite a margain.


Your gemming is a bit off, try to go for some more intellect oriented gems until you achieve better gear. Int / Mastery in yellow, int in red and hit / int in blue.


You can always use a tool like Simulationcraft to get scale factors of your stats and what to gem and reforge for.

from last raid. havent checked yet cuz disbanded guild.

Hey, I was running sims this morning to get my gear right for tonight and realized that going into Heart of Fear you can have good enough gear to get up to a 2nd haste plateau of 6637 (15.6% unbuffed, 20.6% buffed). This gives you 2 additional Agony ticks and an additional Corruption and Unstable Affliction tick. It also gives you an additional Agony and Corruption tick during Bloodlust.

I ran a sim maintaining optimized stats with 10% haste versus maintaining 15.6% haste and the sim came out with 90,884 DPS at 10% and 91,602 DPS at 15.6%.

On the scale that our numbers are reaching, this isn't a large swing, but it is another haste plateau to aim for.

You should try to go for 4717 haste, if you cant reach that go for 10% unbuffed for extra tick during BL.

Gemming you could try: red, int - yellow, int / mastery - blue, int/hit

Glyphs dont use the Dark Soul glyph, it's a DPS loss!
Go get some new trinket too!

Impossible to judge really, do some fights and upload it to world of logs to compare yourself with other people (obv remember the difference in gear)

Sparkuggz which trinket should i change? Both?

Btw why changing them since the Flashfrozen gives me a lot of hit and the alchemy trinket gives me mastery and the proc on INT.

Back to you guys again( Sparkuggz and Varia), about proc's and such.

Now I'm with 14.97% hit rating. 4774 since I can't reach 4717 isn't a big problem though. I can always go for 13-15% hit but since I love to switch specs between bosses I will go for hit cap,because I know it's a big dps loss with demo/destro spec.

Regardless gems I'm using 320 mastery(yellow) and 160 mastery+80 int(red) since I read on some guides above 480 this gems are best then pure intellect.

I'm changing the subject, sorry I would like to ask something about proc's/dots.

Let's imagine a patchwerk fight: Pre-pot, Haunt- Demon Soul- SB:SS, Doomguard, 2x Malefic Grasp- SB:SS, now light of cosmos proc's and my dots are super buffed with Demon Soul, what I should do here? Refresh all dots to win intellect proc from Light of Cosmos or refresh it before proc fade?

Another example: Celestials proc's my dots are <10 sec but they're weak without proc's, I refresh all of them and right way Lightweave proc's! What should I do? I refresh dots again since atm they're with full duration or I let them go into <8-10 sec? But if I don't refresh them I will loose Lightweave proc's. etc..etc... You got it my real problem? I don't know where to refresh my dots, because the proc's are proccing so often, mosty of times 4-5 after the other ahd proc.

Should I refresh all the time my dots ,everytime I have a proc? If i do i will pass all the fight doing that... since they proc's so often.
