Anyone knows if it's worth having Spirit mend on auto cast while raiding still it's a 5 focus cost?

Use spirit beast for some small extra healing, other than that, all pets are pretty much the same.

doesn't matter what rating you put in them tbh, as long as you set it to 'at least X hit/expertise' it will prioritize it.

either way, here is a picture of my reforgelite:

i love the guide, its fantastic and well thought through.

currently, i think might have too much crit and not enough haste,
cast on cobra un buffed is 1.92s..

    SV spec
    7.51% hit
    7.50% exp
    3.89% haste
    17.82% crit
    11.40% mastery

what do you think of those stats for me? 469 item level.

    You are fine!

Considering mastery is the least useful stats.

    Playing survival atm. Thanks.
They are indeed very close to each other, and probably the Hopecrusher are slightly better because of the fact that their high secondary stat value is on the crit, which is the best to have (490), while the Archer's Precision Grips has expertise as the lower secondary stat (338). Not to mention that hopecrusher has a higher total of secondary stats on it (490+369=859), compared to the (338+508=846) of the archer's precision grips.

Regardless of the above, don't bother too much with this... if you have one of them you are good to go, since you should anyway be already aiming to get the crafted gloves: Gloves of Earthen Harmory which at least on my server only cost like 15k gold.

Thanks for the find though zzue!

I use it even though it is a small dps loss on fights where it kinda makes sense. For example on tight enrages like gara'jal I don't have it on autocast, but I do use it on myself whenever I enter the shadow realm!

QUICK TIP: If you are switching between BM and SV specs in a raid, you need to keep in mind the following.

If you are SV and use stampede without the glyph, the exotic pets will NOT appear! So either glyph it, or remember to switch your pets in the stables so you have 5 non exotic ones!

Also another find is that if you are indeed using the stampede glyph, your summoned pets will most likely NOT use Rabid because of it being on cd from your main pet!
So I will advice to NOT use the Stampede Glyph.

PS: Will try to make a video of the BM opener that I am using lately. I am still trying to find the best possible opener, but it is not easy when trinket procs come in play.

I'm a fairly new player in general, but simply love playing hunter. Love raiding though and happy with our current 5/6 norm.
Very much looking forward to the guide on each boss to optimize dps (rather in my case; improve dps) :D

    But;
Can you give a rough idea of which bosses you use which specs for?

I use SV for feng and will of the emperor. For the rest I use BM.

Thanks for replying Roger, I just started playing my hunter again and I'm currently favouring Survival both for heroics and raids. I haven't raided much. 3/6 Normal.
I'm 464 iLvL and I feel like I'm just getting crushed by other classes on the same gear-level. I'm doing around 40-50k dps and I peak at around 70k(All cds etc.)
Should I be pleased with this or am I doing something completely wrong. I feel like there is to much spamming CDs :/

May I ask why you're using SV for feng? afaik the main advantage of SV is the insane AoE damage, so I thought SV would be the best in stoneguard, WotE and maybe Gara'jal because of the shadow realm, but isn't feng mainly stand and shoot for hunters, meaning BM is better?

also, why do you recommend SV to go for mastery>haste after the haste breakpoints, even though haste is valued higher in the chart?

    thanks

Feng has the shield phase in Heroic mode which spawns adds that you need to aoe, hence my choice of going SV there (ofc you can go BM too, its not mandatory by any means). Keep in mind these are the specs I recommend for progressing with your guild in the fight... if your raid lacks aoe dps then go SV, if not feel free to go BM.

At Stone Guard I was the one activating the tiles, which meant that I was moving 24/7, and BM is obviously the best spec there since the pet can dps fulltime. And 2 targets do not qualify as 'aoe' for SV. I recommend BM for sure in this fight regardless of job (activating tiles or not).

Gara'jal is a VERY tight enrage for most guilds, so going for SV just to kill the spirits inside faster is not good enough. On top of that, you can be unlucky and spirits won't spawn next to each other, rendering your multi-shots useless. Go BM in this fight and if possible avoid going in the spirit world... there are other classes that do 10xtimes better in there like spriests or death knights.

For the mastery>haste thing, I do say that I prefer mastery even tho simcs show otherwise, because you only go SV if there is something to AOE in the fight, and in AOE mastery plays a bigger part than haste does (serpent sting dmg>>>multi shot), depending ofc on the amount of targets that you are aoeing. Regardless, those sims are made for single target dps, and I do not trust they represent a very realistic scenario in the fights where you choose to go SV over BM. Ofc we are talking for like 500 secondary stats difference if you set a different priority in your reforging... which will result in minimal increase/decrease either way you set it to reforge.

TL:DR I don't think you need to worry too much about haste/mastery choice. Go with what you prefer.

    Hey there roger!

I see you still try to figure out your bm opener, but i was wondering. Isn't it a waste to use BW before you use lynx and dire beats, since you are wasting GCD when you have the BW buff.

Wouldn't it be better to start with serpent sting -> Lynx -> dire beast -> BW -> KC -> glave -> spam arcan until BW fall off. Maybe use stamped before BW, to get it on CD? :)
