Ive been wondering, how does the Undead racial stack up against the other Horde racials. Since it scales with the Survival mastery, maybe it will become better as time goes on. Thoughts?

Are the stat weights and haste softcaps still up-to-date? everywhere i'm looking it says either 10% or 12,5% as a hastecap

Also, in case you calculated the weights yourself, do you mind explaining how to calculate the haste weight? crit and mastery is kinda easy (mastery doesn't affect all skills, crit does, so crit>mastery) but i have no idea how to include things like cast time, auto shot speed and focus regeneration into my calculation

After some research that I did, I have come to the conclusion that there are not Haste softcaps neither for your rotation nor for Dire Beast. I will be updating my guide soon about this. As for the weights, most of my personal 'testing' is done through comparing myself with the other hunters in the guild. If I consistently do less damage with the same gear, then it means that either I am a noob or that my stats weights are wrong. I highly doubt the first part is true so you get the idea :)

I still believe that at least for BM the stat weights look something like: crit = 160, mastery = 130, haste = 120. Obviously it is not easy to calculate these things though... its an ongoing investigation.

Hey Roger, i'm just curious to know, what spec, talents and glyphs do you use at the moment when you raid?

You can check my armory for that, but generally I use the following:

Talents:
Crouching Tiger
Binding Shot
Aspect of the Iron Hawk
Dire Beast
Lynx Rush
Glaive Toss

Glyphs:
Marked for Death
Animal Bond
Deterrence/Disengage

Ofc I switch my talents a lot depending on bosses so don't follow this for each fight. Will be making a guide for each boss after progress is over though so I will post about them there.

I will do that, but not yet. I am trying out some things with addons, switching some for others nowdays. Will do that when I update my UI package in probably around 1-2weeks from now.

Maybe, but definitely not yet. Atm the difference is pretty big, and also it is good to have CDs that orc/troll gives for burn phases since you can control that. Not to mention that you should only play survival at Feng, Will of the emperor and Wind Lord (maybe for the last 2 bosses in heart of fear, but haven't seen them yet).

If you have to race change from orc and pick one of them, pick panda.

I am a night elf hunter personally, which offers no dps boost at all to my class really. The reason I haven't rerolled to panda is because the guild I am in currently isn't a top end guild where every little thing matters.

The choice is yours basically. If you are in a guild that really won't mind you dropping a little bit of dps as they aren't as hardcore as other guilds, then go for a race that you like the look of. If you want to absolutely 100% get the best out of your class then stick with orc/roll panda.

Hey Rogerbrown. Really enjoyed reading the Guide and Thank you very much for making it. Just curious as to why you listed the Darkmoon Faire Card as a BiS trinket Compared to having the Heroic Elegon Trinket. Is the pure agility better than the Mastery/Agility Proc from Elegon trinket?
